Staff Profile

Susan Larson
Welcome! I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with Saint Paul Public Schools, where I have proudly served our students and community for the past 10 years. Prior to joining SPPS, I began my career as an SLP in Wisconsin.
My day-to-day work focuses on evaluating and supporting students with speech and language needs, helping them overcome communication challenges that affect their learning. I am especially passionate about the powerful link between language development and literacy—working closely with students to build the foundational skills they need to feel confident in reading and writing. Additionally, I specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and enjoy sharing that real-world experience by teaching ASD courses at the university level.
Outside of school, I love spending my free time out on the water sailing, traveling to new places, reading, and exploring both creative writing and visual arts.
Please feel free to reach out anytime! Whether you have general questions about speech and language development, or specific concerns about your child's articulation skills, voice, or stuttering, I am always happy to partner with you to support your student's success.
