Staff Profile

Hello! 

My name is Carlye Proescholdt (pronounced PRESH-HOLT) and I am so excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher! I have been teaching for SPPS since 2018 and have been at Frost Lake since 2022– I love our school! I have a dual bachelors degree from St. Olaf College and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Concordia University.

My greatest hope is that your child feels loved and challenged at school and that they feel a sense of belonging with their school family. In kindergarten, we will work on literacy and math skills in large and small groups, build friendships, and learn about the world around us through play and creative exploration! 

When I’m not at school, you can find me exploring outside with friends and family—I like hiking, swimming, running, camping, and going for walks. I love to travel, read, and do puzzles, but I end up spending a lot of time doing DIY projects at my (very old) house.
