Welcome to Visual Arts at Bruce Vento!

Hello,

I’m Mr. Charlie the Visual Art Teacher at Bruce Vento Elementary.

This is my first year with Bruce Vento. Previously, I was at Frost Lake Elementary as the Media Arts Teacher for two years. And for six years I’ve served Saint Paul Public Schools as a Full Time Substitute Teacher, visiting over 50 schools, and teaching PreK-12 grade and all special programs.

I developed my Education in Mankato, obtaining a Bachelor’s of Fine Art, Masters of Art Degree, and MN K-12 Visual Art License. I focused on Painting, Printmaking, and Video work and have shown my personal work domestically and internationally. Aside from Teaching Art, my passions are in Music, and searching for a great restaurant!

For this years start in Art, we’ve begun with a survey of student work focusing on the process’ of creating and presentation. Students original works are displayed on ‘Gallery Walls’ in the art room, school hallways, and at home (Pre-K, K). Into the Fall, we start our journey with the Art Element of Line.
